Description:
I have several years of proofreading and copyediting experience, specializing in academic writing within humanities disciplines. Working mostly on forthcoming publications, I help authors and publishers improve their projects, paying careful attention to English grammar, style, format, consistency, and typesetting. I have also edited conference papers for a number of scholars and researchers, including those who have English as a second language.

Having a PhD from the University of Chicago, my own research and writing focuses on literature from the Hellenistic and Roman periods, including biblical, early Christian and Jewish, and Greek and Latin literature.

Alongside my work as an editor, I teach concepts of advanced academic writing and argumentation to university undergraduates.

My own publications include:

The Pharisees and Figured Speech in Luke-Acts. Wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zum Neuen Testament 2. Reihe. Tübingen: Mohr Siebeck, 2017.

“Suicide.” Pages 332–41 in The Oxford Encyclopedia of the Bible and Law. Edited by Brent Strawn. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2015.

“Lucian’s Hermotimus: A Fictive Dialogue with Marcus Aurelius.” Pages 253–82 in The History of Religions School Today: Essays on the New Testament and Related Ancient Mediterranean Texts. Edited by Thomas R. Blanton IV, Robert Matthew Calhoun, and Clare K. Rothschild. Wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zum Neuen Testament 340. Tübingen: Mohr Siebeck, 2014.
