Catalyst is a fast-paced, full-service marketing agency serving off-campus student housing properties, multifamily properties, universities, and commercial real estate clients. The agency specializes in branding and marketing efforts that assist clients in leasing up to their desired goal.

Catalyst is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist for part-time, freelance work that can be done remotely. (Workload will be heavier from July 5-10 while the lead QA Specialist is on vacation.)

In this position, you should be able to accurately proofread, review and edit all materials for use of grammar and content for digital, print, direct mail, collateral and all other marketing materials. You must have an excellent eye for typographical errors, such as basic formatting and layout inconsistencies. You must have the ability to catch mistakes pertaining to spelling, grammar, style, tone, and consistency.

You will:
• Provide proofreading, copyediting and QA services on an ongoing basis.
• Correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition, and format.
• Effectively communicate updates to account and design teams.
• Reference style guides for proper branding and messaging.
• Perform a quality check at each phase of the project lifecycle.
• Make sure all legal and variable information is present and correct, including codes, phone numbers, offers, pricing, links, offer disclaimers and expiration dates.

You’ll have:
• Experience in proofreading content, including print and digital materials.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly and work efficiently within strict production schedule deadlines.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Marketing, and/or Journalism.
• Authoritative grammar and spelling skills.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills.
• Ability to edit proofs electronically and respond from a remote location.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• 3+ years proofreading experience.
