The Role

Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, the Collections Coordinator is accountable for collecting amounts due within an assigned portfolio. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated, goal oriented and able to deal with moderately complex, sensitive situations


Liaise with clients either in person, by telephone, or correspondence to resolve outstanding queries and establish agreed timescales for payment.

Implement company collection management procedures in a professional and diplomatic manner, to maximize recovery and minimize Negotiate and agree to terms of payment with clients to recover payment in a timely manner.

Informs the Country Finance Manager of any risky situations and assess the need to engage the Legal Team.

Account Reconciliations and Analysis – ensure all vendor accounts are reconciled monthly to internal AP records, investigate and resolve account/invoice discrepancies and issues;Research, follow up and resolve any client request. Ensures that the appropriate people are engaged to resolve the issues

Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles Credit card reconciliations - prepare monthly reconciliations on credit cards ensuring support documentation is complete Experience in cash application Assist with ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned General administrative duties Provide supporting documentation for audits


Identifies process efficiencies, raises recommendations to the Finance Manager and may support the implementation of any approved recommendations
Participate in special projects and assignments as needed and required.

The Candidate

2-3 years of experience in credit & collection, with a proven track record in delivering results, ideally in a professional services environment Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of Oracle or SAP a plus Excellent analytical and time management skills Sound negotiation, persuasion and dispute resolution skills Exceptional communication skills – oral and written Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible and approachable Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities in a fast-paced environment
