Illustration ties people to their character as well as characteristics, showing off the art in them as well as their beauty. Nature illustrations are similar to portrait work in that they bring an essence of a scene, flower, animal, and region to its surface. I recently graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, that time there has taught me the value getting projects done ahead of time, so that the final touches are not rushed.
There is something interesting in almost everything around us. Art enhances the ability to appreciate it. Different cultures and their roots in time, nature based themes, and faith based stories are great sources of inspiration. Composition depends on the text or story the pictures respond to. General Illustration isn’t tied down as closely to a whole story, but a theme or concept. My Photography and mixed media have elements that can be both; responding to or working in tandem with text; conveying a broader concept.
I am eager to diversify my portfolio, and attutides match my interests.
