In 2007 I received my M.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design where I specialized in watercolor.  After graduating I was offered a full scholarship to pursue a PhD in Hangzhou China studying Chinese Language and Painting.  I studied in China from 2007-2008 and have not yet completed the PhD program but my grant is renewable.  I've taught watercolor Photorealism at the Hilton Head Art Academy while studying at SCAD and was the Teaching Intern for a Landscape and Chinese Painting course through SCAD.  I received my B.F.A. from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2004 majoring in Illustration.  I took many computer and design related courses as well as traditional illustration.  Most of my work was a combination of watercolor, colored pencil and computer. While studying at CIA I wrote and illustrated two children's books and created several illustrations for the Cleveland Institute of Music's Website and studied abroad through CIA in Italy and Germany summer of 2001.  Throughout my College Years I received numerous grants, fellowships and awards for my illustration, painting, drawing and photography abilities.  While in High school I volunteered as a mural painter painting several large scale acrylic murals in Akron, OH.
