Service Description:
I have taken on a very wide range of work so far in my short career, including illustrations for print and clothing, banners, CD cover art, portraits, landscapes and even a jam label. I have never disappointed a client, in terms of the quality, expediency, imaginativeness and punctuality of my work.
I am particularly keen to create more book illustrations. The only book I have illustrated so far was published in 2008 by Boydell and was called 'Fighting at Sea in the Eighteenth Century', by Sam Willis. The commission comprised 28 illustrations and 9 maps, all hand-drawn. I was required to undertake a lot of research in order to achieve the highest levels of historical and geographical accuracy, and I learned a great deal as a result. (The research aspect of this project came naturally, as I gained a good deal of academic experience while studying for my degree in English Literature, from which I graduated with first class honours in 2005.)
Please see the following links for reviews of 'Fighting at Sea' that mention my contribution:
"[A] superbly researched book [which] contains high-quality maps, many excellent illustrations, and an essential glossary, all of which give a better understanding of Willis's argument." United States Naval Institute

"A superb piece of work…meticulously researched and very readable. The illustrations add a touch of class to what is already a very classy book."
Dr Colin White, Director, Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth
