Service Description:
I was born in Chattanooga, TN, and I spent my childhood wandering through the southern landscape. I developed an interest in art at a young age, but my artistic skills were nurtured in high school at Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga.
After graduating from high school in 1998, I attended Davidson College in Davidson, NC. I graduated from Davidson College in 2002 with a BA in Studio Art and was the James Pepper Art Scholar while at Davidson. I studied with Herb Jackson, one of North Carolina's internationally renowned abstract painters, and I spent a semester abroad in England and France studying Art History.
I view every piece of art as an opportunity to challenge myself, and it is impossible for me to treat the smallest sketch with nonchalance. I have worked on many commission pieces ranging from traditional portraits to abstract surreal landscapes and huge wall murals, and I make sure my clients are involved throughout the entire creation process. I generally send my clients sketches and photographs of the work in four phases, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. This is a great way to work, because there are no surprises and visual issues are dealt with immediately.
My skill set is diverse, and I would be happy to collaborate with you to ensure you have a unique piece of art to enhance your project.
