When I first got started in journalism, the newspaper I worked for was printed with hot type. So I’ve made the transition from hot type to cold type to computers to the internet! I spent over 15 years working on both the editorial and productions sides of daily and weekly newspapers. Then I took a job with a printing company, helping them to make the transition from hot type to cold type.

In 1992, in order to be home with my children, I started my freelance company, continuing to work with area printing companies and various individual businesses and government agencies. My work over the years includes all kind of business stationery, business forms, logos, monthly newsletters, quarterly journals and yearly calendars, annual reports and programs. I also have created brochures, posters for UGA sports, books and advertising materials. My journalism background has always been useful both in design and editing decisions.

My kids are grown now, but I still work at home. My work is Mac-based, with expertise in Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator. I am accustomed to working solely through the use of email and ftp sites, however, some travel could be accommodated.
