Service Description:
I have been writing for publication since 1985, first as an academic and professor (journal articles and full length academic studies on language and culture; grant proposals, teaching materials, multimedia), and subsequently as a novelist and magazine article writer. Since 1999 I have been self employed as a full time writer, primarily of fiction. Other areas of significant experience:

-- two years as features editor for Quilting Arts Magazine;
-- family histories and biographies based on interviews and examination of family and historical documents;
-- twelve years of demonstrated excellence as a teacher and adviser at the university level
-- one-on-one advising/editing of works in progress  (doctoral theses, fiction)
-- extensive research skills in a wide variety of subject areas
-- nationally recognized expert on issues of language and discrimination

I work well to guidelines and goals, and I pride myself on meeting deadlines.
