Service Description:
I am a freelance artist who has been painting and illustrating children’s art for the past eight years in Canada. I have been in the industry for almost 20 years and enjoy the challenge of working with someone else's ideas from scratch. Most of my experience encompasses traditional methods and I have been commended on my ability to create something warm and friendly - a contrast to a plastic-techno look that comes with many computer illustrations.

My illustrations have strong lines and bright colours. I like to add a different perspective to the traditional boundaries of the page and my scope of work includes:
• fine art
• book illustration
• wall murals
• restaurant menus
• product packaging
• greeting cards
• logo design

As a writer, I offer a unique attention to detail - understanding the process of developing characters and moving from the creative stage to publishing. I am driven by deadlines, a good sense of humor and am highly organized. I typically allow for two drafts of the initial idea to be included with the quoted price. It takes time for two creative energies to synchronize and let one style evolve from your project. The illustrations should emulate a feeling that you had when you first became excited to transform your project into an illustration.

Working with me will entirely depend on your taste in an illustrator and our connection as a creative team. My experience with the public over the past eight years has presented opportunities for me to think quickly on my feet and adapt a drawing at the last minute to create something specific that a client had in mind.

Finding an illustrator is sometimes a long and tedious process. Feel free to browse my portfolio or check out my mural website at www.creativepaintingbydesign.com. If you feel I am suitable for what you had in mind – you are welcome to request a draft of a specific idea to see if you are on the right path.
