I am a painter that employs soft pastels and oils to portray everyday images that are familiar and evoke feelings of peace and tranquility.  My style is varied, from semi-photorealistic, to impressionistic, and my subjects are equally diverse.  I will use Photoshop, and other software programs to manipulate my resource material and give me a different slant on how to approach the project. I want to be able to "think outside the box" in determining how the finished piece will look.

Working in soft pastels is an ideal medium for  completing a quick sketch/illustration, or alternatively a fully-developed painting.  

Working in oils is the medium I choose when I want to create a larger gallery-size piece.  

Whatever the project, I try to render enough nuances in order to capture and hold the viewer's interest.
