Newspaper Writing
I have more than eight years experience in newspaper writing for a daily publication. I began my journalism career writing education stories which evolved into feature writing. From there I moved up to Lifestyle Editor and later Associate Editor. Because of my experience in this field, I am fluent in the Associated Press Style Guide. I left the newspaper industry in pursuit of bigger career opportunities. Currently, I freelance for the paper I once called home. Mainly I write and layout special sections. Academic Writing
I am a strong academic writer with a BA in communications. My main focus in college was communication theories which translated into a lot of research papers. I never brought home anything less then an A on my college papers. I am fluent in the MLA and APA Style Guides as well.

SEO & Blog Writing

Education
As I mentioned before, I have a degree in communications. What is unique about communications is it touches every aspect of life. That is EVERY aspect. Everyone needs to communicate. We can’t survive without communication, so its importance is quite clear. My skills in communication allow me to communicate with an array of individuals because I understand how others communicate.

Personal Characteristics
I am highly-organized (in one of those scary kinds of ways). I like everything neat and tidy and produce work accordingly. Having worked in the newspaper industry for so long, I take deadlines very seriously. I am also happy because I have been blessed a lot in my life. I am optimistic (perhaps a little too much, but I’m okay with that). And for those of you who are wondering, no I don’t fly airplanes. CCBornToFly refers to Sarah Evans’ song “Born To Fly.” A friend of mine once said the song reminded her of me and it just kind of stuck.

Summary
In a nutshell, I work hard and I want to work hard for you. I don’t charge outrageous prices, just enough so I can afford to live. I want to make you happy because that makes me happy.
