Martin Blanco Bio

Martín  Blanco is an award-winning illustrator, specialized in the creation of dark fantasy imagery for music, films, publishing and horror-related industries, with over 5 years of experience working as a freelance illustrator for companies in United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Australia and Argentina.

After finishing his BA in Fine Arts in Argentina, he decided to move to Barcelona, Spain, where he is currently residing.

Since then, Martin has illustrated, provided artwork and been featured in numerous publications and websites across the world.

These include such publications as Stone Arch Books, Late Late Show, Doorways Magazine, Razar Magazine, , Space and Time, Z-Man Games  and many more.

Some of his music band clients have been Walls of Jericho, Tha Vill, Silent Night Deadly Night, among others.

He has made several group and solo exhibits in Argentina and Barcelona and has won numerous prizes in different drawing contests, including the award of “ Best Comic Book” in the New York Horror Film Festival 2007, for the adaptation of some chapters from Greg Lamberson’s novel “Johnny Gruesome”, together with artist Kelly Forbes.

Martin illustrate using Adobe Photoshop and a pen tablet and like to mix different media in his work (photographs, handmade drawings, and digital effects).

He has also worked making comics for some publishers in United States and co-direct Pit Bros. Productions, his own indie comic company.
