I am a published writer and have been writing for many years.  I write articles that are high energy and inspirational or thought provoking, with a dash of humor.  I am deeply honored to be a staff writer for Adelante Magazine.  This is a Gay, Latino Publication.  I am a white, married, straight female, not exactly a perfect match for the mag.  My editors and the readers tell me I am able to find the heart of an issue, which I consider to be a grand compliment.
I also have written for many trade publications in Latin Music and for my Iowa hometown newspaper, as well as a newsletter for a non-profit org.  Again, I live in LA, so being able to find the "heart" is the most important part of writing.  I thoroughly enjoy researching and interviews.  My favorite writing is, however, finding the "universality" of a subject and writing the article so that it appeals and is understandable to all.  Inspiring others to find a better perspective is what I like best and would very much like to do in other publications.  I am particularly interested in writing a column for men and/or women on various subjects, all with the intent of improving relationships, health, attitude and reaching goals.  Self-improvement is all important in our world and I want my writing to be a part of the solution.
