I have a MySQL database that has grown over the years and is now suffering from some performance issues as well as random connection failures and errors such as corrupt memory. The database has only a small number of tables but they are accessed frequently every few seconds.

The work needed will be to initially connect to the database and make recommendations for optimizing the database and making any fixes if anything can be done immediately to improve performance.

I would like to get estimates for the amount of time needed to perform this project. Depending on rate, the winning bidder may also be invited back to perform additional database development based upon the outcome of the optimization project

Knowledge of mysql connector/odbc with vb.net preferrable but not required.
