Experienced (contract) Recruiting Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned Recruiting Specialist to support the work of an executive search recruiter in filling a search currently underway.  This work would be done from your home/remote location. There are two basic parts to the work: (a) Assisting in qualifying current applicants; and (b) Finding new, prospective candidates. If you have direct experience in both of these areas, please read on.

A. Your responsibilities relating to people who have already submitted their resumes would
include:

- tracking applicant material (resumes, cover letter, writing samples)
- maintaining appropriate database of applicants
- assist in managing job postings
- screening resumes against specific requirements
- conduct preliminary phone screen of applicants to determine skill  eligibility
- preparing summaries of phone screens and communicating results to the recruiter
- organizing one:one interviews between candidates and the recruiter

B. Your responsibilities relating to identifying new prospective applicants would include:

- sourcing candidates using email and telephone lists provided by the recruiter
- sourcing candidates using your own initiative, research, and networks
- some cold calling required (you must be comfortable doing this)
- inputting and maintaining a Recruitment Log

Strongly preferred skills and traits about you include:

- ability to work independently with very little supervision
- excellent oral skills; excellent listening skills
- strong organizing/administrative skills
- ability to multi-task; flexibility
- MS Outlook, Word, Excel

Must be available to start immediately; the job is temporary but may be extended on an as-needed basis as new search contracts come in.

Minimum 2-3 years recruiting experience required: others should not apply, please.

Compensation: $25/hr. This is a contract job.
Potential to receive bonus for finding new job candidates that you bring in.
