The script will be used in an existing website and would offer our clients a secure facility where they can upload multiple songs, text files, manuscripts, etc., for registration and secure storage purposes. The client would need to register as a Member and include full postal and email address, only registered members should be able to access the file upload utility. For security reasons the client should not have any privileges or control over their files once uploaded. The client would need to login for each upload session and have the option of uploading up to a maximum of 16 tracks per session.
What we need is...
An upload page where a client can login (graphically powered with upload status) and browse file(s) (up to 16) on their hard drive and upload them.
It should work like this...

• The client would need to register as a Member and include the following :

1. FULL NAME,
2. FULL POSTAL ADDRESS,
3. EMAIL ADDRESS
4. COMPOSER OF;  (choose from... “COMPLETE SONGS”,” LYRICS ONLY”, “MUSIC ONLY”)
5. GENDER  (Choose from...” MALE”,  “FEMALE”

• The member is given a unique folder with an ID number where all his/her work will be uploaded to
• The membership application form must include “capcha” or something comparable.
• New members and admin receive a confirmation email.
• Only registered members should be able to access the file upload utility.
• For security reasons the client should not have any privileges or control over their files once uploaded.
• The client would need to login for each upload session.
• Song uploads and lyric uploads must be distinct and separate
• The ability for a user to upload multiple songs or sets of lyrics per session (up to 16)
• Script prompts a user if the file format they are uploading is not supported,  
• The upload process must include a progress bar
• The script must save the files to a folder unique to the client
• The script should only allow certain file types to be uploaded: these must be specified as variables (e.g. mp3. wav, wma. txt.doc. pdf )
• The script should provide error trapping, in case the files are not uploaded properly, it will alert the user and prompt them to redo, one or all of the files.
• When a file successfully completes, I want an email sent to the client and to Admin with: "Client name and folder number has uploaded xx number of files.
• must be compatible in all browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari)
• If using FLASH then script must detect if flash is on users system.

MEMBERSHIP SHOULD WORK LIKE THIS....

The member /  client logs in and clicks on "Upload new file" and can browse for a file on their computer to upload  songs or lyrics, they would then add the Title of the song or lyric (text field, max 60 characters) and click "Upload file". The file should now be uploaded onto a directory on the server, and the details should be added to a MySQL-database's table containing,

1. AUTHORS NAME,
2. AUTHORS REAL /LEGAL NAME IF USING A PSUDENYM OR PEN NAME
3. FULL POSTAL ADDRESS,
4. NAME OF WORK / ALBUM OR COLLECTION
5. TITLES of TRACKS,
6. STYLE or GENRE of the work
7. EMAIL ADDRESS
8. FOLDER NUMBER.

• If the filename already exists on the server, the user should be asked to rename the file. Overwriting files should NOT be an option.
• All fields should be mandatory.
•  Clicking "Upload file" without choosing a file or filling in the fields should result in a prompt telling the user fill in the required fields.
• The form must include “capcha” or something comparable to deter robots etc.
• Progress bar or similar must be included.
• All uploaded files should be secure and NOT be accessible or viewable to the public.
• Maximum file size should be 200 mb or 16 tracks per session.
• The uploaded songs / lyrics etc. need to put in a folder unique to the client (Up-loader).
• The administrator must have total control over all files and uploads, being able to review, move and delete all uploaded files.
• The up-loader and administrator would need to receive email confirmation after each upload session.
• The script must be easy to administer and install for non technical personnel and a clear Admin panel must be provided

The completed project should be stable, reliable and secure and above all easy to administer.
