Title: Latam AHQ NextWeb Business Development Manager
Description:
The Latin America AHQ NextWeb team’s overall mission is to secure the web platform adoption and web server market share growth through evangelism, community engagement, relationship marketing and a vibrant solutions ecosystem.
The responsibilities of the HQ team members are to develop and implement the overarching Area strategy; lead their respective field teams; support the field in developing the various pillar strategies local in each subsidiary; develop relationships with key partners, customers and influencers to nurture a vibrant ecosystem and drive the Area’s metrics.
The team is also responsible for driving the Microsoft Online Services and Web Platforms in the region through the creation of incubation programs with key industry players like top enterprises, hosting companies and websites.  Finally, it is this team’s responsibility to coordinate the demand generation in the Latin America markets for these new technologies, through engagement with small and medium businesses as well as independent web developers, small hosters, designers, and the technical community in general.

The Challenge:
You tasks will include:
• Support the engagement with hosters, web partners and web sites by engaging them remotely though conference calls and webcasts where you’ll present the business strategy and available resources to implement Microsoft’s technologies in hosting and web scenarios.
• Deliver progress reports on our Web Platform’s market share growth by analyzing the market insight data that vendors such as IDC, Media Metrix and Netcraft create for Microsoft.
• Support the creation of marketing campaigns and materials to enable our Breadth sales force to generate demand for the Microsoft’s web platform products offered through our service provider partners.
• Coordinate external vendors or internal resources to localize the marketing materials available for the Web Platform Business, such as presentations, battle cards, websites, training materials, case studies, etc.
Metrics:
You will be measured by:
• The % increase in market share that the components of the Microsoft Web Platform have in this fiscal year, as measured by our market intelligence data providers.
• The number of partners or customers registered to our programs (such as HostSpark, SPLA Lite, Hyper-V Incubation, MSPP, etc).

Requirements:
Your profile should include:
• Experience: Do you have at least 1 year experience in the hosting or internet datacenter businesses? Or 1 year experience in a Web Development venture? Technical knowledge is very appreciated for this role and also the ability to understand and explain in detail the hosting and/or internet service provider motivations and business scenarios.  We want you to be able to talk to our hosting partners, website customers, and web development companies in their language, by understanding the relationship between their architecture, their business model and their customers. We need you to be able to understand the Microsoft product alignment (even if you’ve never worked with Microsoft products before) and map it to customer and partner needs in the web and hosting businesses. Enterprise pre-sales in a hosting company, or technical marketing in an Internet Venture are examples of the positions that could’ve given you such experiences.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Marketing or Business is required.  Internet Infrastructure or Web Development education, certifications or work experience are appreciated.
• Specific Certifications: None necessary.
• Languages: English + Spanish.
• Product and Technical Knowledge: Office apps (You’ll be doing a lot of work in Excel; mid-advanced knowledge of the product will help you a lot). Understanding of how an Internet Datacenter is built is very desirable, as well as knowledge of the software platform options available to create the Internet, such as LAMP or WISA. You should be able to understand the relationships between the components of an internet business (Servers, IP Addresses, Domain Names, URLs, Broadband Connections, etc.)
