Data mining for journal information

Project description:

Collation of information from various Journals' websites or through any other source.

There are around 35-40 text fields that need to be filled for each journal. (See attached datamining.xls)


Project requirements:

Excellent on-line researching skills.

Good knowledge of about the journal publishing field.


If selected you will be given thousands of journals for the project.



If interested, we request you to take a sample test of the above attached excel sheet for data mining for the 5 journals and let us know the amount of time taken to collate per journals (in minutes). An example of the journal Academe, Journal of Hand Therapy, Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation, Journal of Headache and Pain, Journal of Health and Human Services Administration (highlighted in yellow) is given for your reference. Note that this sample is only for skill assessment.

Note: The best rates we pay are 0.10 USD per journal for Data Checking and 0.15 USD per journal for Data Mining.



This is to inform you that we are on the verge of completion of the phase 1 where the journals were sent to the freelancer for data mining.





In phase 2, we would send the data that has been mined by other freelancers to you for checking/correcting and for filling in the details missed by the previous freelancer if you are selected. Since most of the data would already been mined, the effort required would be very less.





Please send us the completed sample within 4 business days as the requirement is urgent. . We have also attached a PDF file which would be helpful for the task, wherein each field is explained in detail.
