We are a small company looking to build a long term relationship with experienced individuals who can work autonomously on various web programming projects for us.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone to earn extra cash and, depending on their effectiveness and productivity level, it can become a full time remote position.
Note that we are looking for self-starters who don't require much "hand-holding" and can do most of the ground work of planning, designing and coding themselves.  

Several projects are available, ranging from installing and configuring some of the open source tools, to building Swing UI that interact with server process,
to implementing custom Java servlets/full blown web servers.

"Must-haves" for this position are:
* Solid knowledge of core Java
* Hands-on experience with Java based web technology
* Ability and experience to work autonomously
* Organizational skills that allow you to remain effective while working remotely
* Experience with web hosting, configuring, and administering websites on the Unix platform

We will give preference to candidates who have hands-on commercial experience with:
* JavaScript toolkits (Google Web Toolkit, Yahoo User Interface Library, or anything similar)
* Rich Java UI (e.g. Swing)
