We are a highly successful, fast-growing German market research and consulting company specialised in assisting foreign consumer goods companies who are considering selling their products in Germany. We offer extensive market knowledge for decision-making and help create concepts for product and brand positioning. Our clients value us for the fast delivery of accurate, high quality information.

We have recently extended our research scope beyond the consumer goods & retail sector and are now happy to conduct projects in various industries. For instance, we assist foreign companies to find business partners in Germany or to learn more about potential competitors before entering the German market.

We are looking for a business development manager to further promote our services in Canada and the United States, but ideally also in other parts of the world. The main purpose of this position will be to win new customers and generate new research projects, thus actively contributing to our sales growth.

To be successful in this role, the following requirements are considered essential:

- Personal contacts to English-speaking corporate decision-makers (anywhere in the world) who might be interested in the German market
- Contacts to the press and various industry / export-oriented institutions
- Ability to approach new people on trade fairs, conferences, by phone etc.
- Proven track record in the achievement of business goals and sales targets
- Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-directed and motivated; performance and results driven
- Some background knowledge about market research techniques
- English native speaker

The successful candidate may choose freely when, where and how to work. We require him/her to be a freelancer. The compensation model is usually based on the realized sales volume of the projects generated by the candidate.
