Freelance Camera Jockey with gear needed in LV on 7/30 from 7am -2pm, and possibly 7/31 from 4pm-6pm! Mini DV or Disc kit with good mic, pls. This is a no-pay gig for a copy of final product, intense online exposure, and stellar references on your resume from an award-winning filmmaker and television professional, and a Hollywood graphics and design pro!

We are shooting a women’s roller derby promo during RollerCon 2009, and need someone to help us shoot track action at Las Vegas Skate Center, and interviews with skaters and refs at the Imperial Palace. Transportation can be provided if necessary. We are volunteers, creating what is essentially a public service announcement for a high-visibility website that gets tens of thousands of views for this sort of thing, but we have no budget. We’re volunteering to do this for the love of the sport.  You will earn really interesting and colorful footage to spice up your demo reel, credits on the site and product, and great industry contacts who will be happy to vouch for how great you are when you’re trying to book your next big gig!

Ask any news or sports tv pro, you will never have more fun shooting than you will on a roller derby shoot! A good time is guaranteed! You will be provided a press pass for the conference that gives you access to many great events, if you want to join in on any of the fun with us, as well!
