Service Description:
Once upon a time... I´m now 39 years old but for me it all started way back in 1992 when i was in my early twenties.
I was hired to do a couple of concept illustrations for a Portuguese software company wich at the time was producing the first Pc videogame and i ended up working with them for the next two years after my initial colaboration. I did dozens of concept illustrations, created characters, animations and supervised the whole look of the game and subsequent illustrations for the products that came out of it. Released in 1995 in Portugal and Spain.
You can see plenty of images from that project if you take a look at my online portfolio at Carbonmade http://theartofluisperes.carbonmade.com/

After that initial three years doing illustration work, i went back to software design. Of course i would rather kept working fulltime in Illustration back then, but the Portuguese market even had a much smaller need for original pictures than it has nowadays and so i had to design software for a while.

Then the Internet started to fully develop and little by little i started to work on a few commissions here and there. A couple of magazines in Portugal, some newspaper stuff, regional children books, portuguese school manuals and general printing wherever it was needed and i´ve been doing it ever since.

I love to create childrenbook type art, greeting cards, imaginary landscapes, videogame screens, comics, t-shirts, logos, posters and i won´t shy away if you need some graphic design (webdesign or even software design for that matter) as i have more than ten years of experience doing that also (check my software design work at http://www.ebase.pt where i´ve worked for years on all the software products you can find at that company).
So let me know what you´re looking for and i´ll put my 17 years of experience to help you visualize your own dreams or graphic wishes.

I love to do my art traditionaly in watercolors and acrylics or in digital using Illustrator and Photoshop with an ocasional Corel,Macromedia Flash or 3D Studio too.
Oh, and i stick to my deadlines. Very important. ;)
