Service Description:
I am a professional writer (published), editor, proofreader, grant writer, and former law school professor-- who is getting VERY cautious about what clients and projects I take on. I no longer do grants via the web. I work only for good people. Period.

If you are a professional interested in good work OTHER THAN GRANTS by an Ivy-educated writer, please contact me at:  sdw.not.a.dress.rehearsal@gmail.com

I was Assistant Editor for a public policy journal at the Massachusetts School of Law in the 90's, and have taught for the Johns Hopkins University CTY Program and Maimonides School (MA) in addition to several colleges. I have coached writers for TV, radio, and the stage; publications and grant proposals; Advanced Placement, SAT, and graduate writing programs; and have worked for Educational Testing Service and the federal government.  I am currently completing a book, and my work has been recommended by two Pulitzer Prize winners.

I received my BA in English from Mount Holyoke College, my Masters in Teaching English/ Writing from Boston College, and a certificate in Professional Writing from UMass at Amherst.  A teacher and editor, I have published in Anthology (AZ), Voices (international anthology; Israel), www.opendemocracy.net, Forth (Los Angeles), and earned Honorable Mention from Writer's Digest as well as First Prize in a Worcester County Poetry Association contest judged by Pulitzer Prize winner Mary Oliver (The Worcester Review, MA).
