Service Description:
Ads, articles, scripts, web copy -- you name it, and chances are, I've done it, despite my tender age (26).

I'm a firm believer in the necessity of stories. Stories move us, drive us to action, and sell products and services. In this time of relative material stability, we each seek to place ourselves within a narrative that makes sense, and is going somewhere.

A bit about my experience:

--First off, I'm an Idaho boy at heart, who has since lived on both coasts, and abroad, with and around every demographic. I'm an avid reader and a digital-ager with a wife and a baby boy. The point is, my voice is not only fresh, but adaptable.
--I graduated from Utah State with a BA in English/creative writing, high honors, and a few minor publications, both creative and academic, all the while tutoring writing in all its many forms.
--Next came a 15-month stay at that university's PR and Marketing Office, where I published widely acclaimed magazine articles, and devised, designed, and wrote copy for brochures, web layouts, and other major marketing materials. I also collaborated on overall communication and image strategy and so, so much more. That was a blast.
--I left to pursue an MA at Stanford in Russian Studies, which degree essentially combined language, literature, history, and overall cultural knowledge across disciplines. At Stanford, I truly learned how to research, read, and think, and just as importantly, I learned how other people think. In my time there, I also studied brands and social media marketing at the Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, itself an incredible institution.

Special areas of expertise include American culture, sociopolitics, sports, humor, literature, history, and everything Russian and Soviet. However, I've also published successfully on agriculture, which I know nothing about, despite having grown up in Idaho. I love learning new things through writing, and I'm confident in my ability to convey any topic to a general audience and make it not only interesting, but vital.

More than anything, I'm excited to contribute further to the dissemination of important art, entertainment, and knowledge to the world. And hey, I'm easy to work with. I love this stuff.
