Service Description:
My passion is telling stories through pictures. Always has been, always will be. I love to create scenes with a strong sense of place, personality, and pathos.
My passions are comic strips/books, children's books, social commentary and dark humor.
I graduated from Pratt Institute with an Illustration degree in May 2005, and have been published in several Mid-Hudson Valley papers. Additionally, I completed five 16-page activity books for Sunburst Visual Media, which were published in April 2006.
Although I work in a cartoony style, I like to adjust it in various ways to suit different "roles." Thus, my work can range from being light and silly to dark and dramatic. I have a wicked sense of humor, and enjoy weird situations. On the other hand, regarding drama, I believe in the approach of using "cute" character designs to disarm a viewer/reader and draw them into a world, thus catching them off guard when things turn serious, further intensifying the drama of a given story.
My strongest skill is personality. Give me a character and I will breathe life into it. You have my word.
