Service Description:
I have over 20 years of experience in the art field, from traditional illustration and painting to caricatures, cartoons and animation. If you are looking for a quality artist to bring your vision to life, you need look no further.
With a background in fine arts and a true passion for drawing, I have honed my skills and abilities over the years both through secondary school and college courses as well as with various freelance positions.
A couple of my crowning accomplishments include: working as lead character design artist for Canadian animation studio Dynomight Cartoon's "Untalkative Bunny" series for Teletoon, and more recently, providing complete development, illustration and layout work for Australian publisher Swordfish Toys' forthcoming children's book "Alphabet Madness".
I have a love and interest in comics and over the years have written, edited, and illustrated work in independent comics, including the anthology "Abraxia's Dream" and "aBraxIa". I have published an anthology of work, and enjoy drawing for independent and online publications. One of my independent comics "Ivy & Dummy" is being developed as an animated series through Toronto's Decode Entertainment Inc. and has been promoted world-wide. Each year, my studio hosts the popular "24 Hour Comics Day" festivities, where artists gather and draw comics for 24 Hours, based on Scott McCloud's groundbreaking invention.
I am friendly, flexible, understanding, accomodating, extremely fast and versatile. I am a professional and treat each assignment with serious attention, patience and passion. Your work will be produced in a timely manner and to your satisfaction, mirroring your vision and making it come to life.
When you hire me to work on your project, you will get a dedicated professional who will be in communication with you every step of the way. From preliminary planning, to roughing the artwork, communication is the key to a successful project. The artwork will be scanned and sent for review regularly, so that no mistakes or mix-ups occur. Revisions and corrections are done quickly and to your specifications.
You get excellent quality for a low cost. Projects can either be estimated on a flat-rate basis, or on a per hour basis. At $22/ hour, sometimes your work can be brought to fruition within a couple of days, occasionally for less than $250 total from start to finish. Some per drawing costs are as low as $65/ drawing, including full colour designs. You can't beat that for professional, appealing character design, comic work or illustrations for children's books. It makes your project doable and everyone goes home happy.
