I am a professional freelance editor (copy editing, final line editing and development editing) and proofreader offering a wealth of experience spanning a decade editing a wide variety of written material, from manuscripts to legal documents, publication articles, scientific and technical manuals, and non-fiction work. Involvement within the scientific and financial industry has given me a higher comprehension level of complex documents in most any field. I strive for complete accuracy and the highest degree of professionalism in the work I complete, utilizing Chicago, ASC, AP, CP and APA manuals of style (and others) as appropriate. I am a former professional sporting a new title ("Mommy"), with a fully-equipped home office and broadband Internet connection. If you wish, I will provide excellent references upon request.
My editing and proofreading skills extend across many industries and business needs--you could say that I am an 'editing savant'--and have always been the hidden accomplice behind any successful document. Grammar, punctuation, clarity, and formatting are my specialties, whatever the document may be; and I work electronically or with hardcopy. I am a passionate perfectionist when it comes to a succinct, well-written and mistake-free document--that oh-so-important first impression. My time is very flexible and I am available six days a week; my computer is fired up at 9 a.m., and is on until 10:30 p.m. MST.
