Service Description:
With 30-plus years of experience, I am a very versatile artist with a broad technical skill set. This includes traditional freehand illustration and painting, computer illustration in 2-D and 3-D, and sculpture in wood, clay, metal, and plastics. I am also a very good photographer.
I have illustrated children's books, done technical illustration for NASA, architectural design for NASA and for the advertising retail industries. I have done many portraits in pencil, pen and ink, oil, acrylic, and also in clay.
I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
I was commissioned by the National Children's Advocacy Center to create a sculpture to be awarded to people who have done the most for children's advocacy. Named for America's Most Wanted host, John Walsh, the first ones were presented to John Walsh and to Alabama US Rep. Bud Cramer, the founder of the National Children's Advocacy Center.
I was a finalist in the competition for a Vietnam Veterans' Memorial for the state of Maine. I was a finalist in a national search for a portrait sculptor at Mdm. Toussauds/Ripleys Believe-It-or-Not Wax Museum in Orlando.
