What's my background? Having worked as a nurse in all operating theatre specialties in the UK and abroad, I changed direction at 30 to study for my degree. I've worked in a wide range of industries, and an inveterate traveller too, having lived for a while in the Far East, and later travelling round California, exploring Europe pretty thoroughly, and both living and working in Switzerland and Portugal. It's a wonderful life. All that experience informs my creative and commercial writing and makes me adaptable and able to think on my feet, as well as giving me a confident voice and an ease with whomever I work.

My literary fiction has been published in a number of journals and magazines such as Takahe (New Zealand), QWF (UK), The New Heidelberg Review (Germany), Plaza (Japan), and Books Ireland (Eire) and I've read a couple of my short stories on BBC Radio, one of which was 'The Leavetaking' which took first prize in the Reader's Digest / Burmah Castrol Competition. Commercial women's fiction has been published in magazines such as Bella (UK), Woman (UK), New Idea (Australasia) and Woman's Way (Eire).

My article writing covers a wide range of subjects and has been published in such magazines as MS London (UK), Amspar magazine (UK), Vegetarian Living (UK) and Everywoman (UK) as well as online as ghostwritten copy.

The work I do is well researched, well written and original (none of that article spinning or plagiarism here, and neither do I outsource). I have a great deal of SEO experience and am able to incorporate keywords in a very natural and unobtrusive way - my work reads well and engages the reader as well as being effective in terms of driving site traffic. People hire me and come back for more because my writing is intelligent, well written, and well researched. I produce great writing. Period.
