Discussions are your way of communicating with other iFreelance.com members through the website. Of course, you can always use email, but discussions are more like multi-way chats related to specific topics. There are three types of discussions you can have; "project discussions", "bid discussions", and "workspace discussions".
Project Discussions (public)
To discuss the details of any project, a public "project discussion" may be started. Project discussions enable service providers to ask buyers questions about their projects, which is often helpful when requirement clarification is needed in order to submit an accurate bid. Project discussions are intended to provide a questions and answer forum for general project topics and should not be used to solicit the interest of buyers, as that is the purpose of bids and bid discussions. Project discussions may be started and/or contributed to by the project's buyer or any member that has an active provider profile in the same category as the project. Project discussions may be accessed from the "Discussion" tab on any project and from your private "My Messages" page (if applicable). Project discussions are actively moderated and messages must adhere to our
policy on public project discussions.
Bid Discussions (private)
To discuss the details of any bid submitted, a private "bid discussion" may be started. Bid discussions may be started and/or contributed to by the project's buyer or the bidder and are private between the buyer and bidder.

Workspace Discussions (private)
During the "working" phase of a project, a private "workspace workspace" is created. Workspace discussions may be started and/or contributed to by the project's buyer and winning bidder. Workspace discussions may be accessed both from the
workspace area of any project you are working on and from your private "My Messages" page (if applicable).
Any discussion you are a part of can be found in your private "My Messages" section of the website. Discussions can be monitored and read from this section of the website, but if you miss any new messages, we can notify you via email. You have
full control over how we email you regarding discussions.
To access your discussions from "My Messages", please follow these steps:
- Login.
- Open "My Messages" by clicking the corresponding link on the main menu.
- Click on the "Discussions" tab.
- To open any specific discussion, click on the discussion.
