He was coming from the west coast, I was coming from new york, we were to meet in Puerto rico. My hairdresser was taking forever so I had to leave with half a hairstyle so that I wouldn’t miss my flight, got to the airport 5 minutes before my flight. when we reached st Thomas JP was starving, only thing open was the pizza bar with ants around it. Woke up in the morning, missed breakfast, it started raining (there was a tropical storm approaching), got to the room, a huge bug greeted us, got in the room, lost power…we left the next day 8.On JPs motorcycle – I can ride around with him on his bike all day – probably won’t be able to get up afterwards, but the view of the bay, bridges, hills and parks in San Francisco are wonderful from the bike 9.In rental van outside Mama's 80th birthday party – I let my niece play with the electronic door of the van while we waited for all to return from the party. my expensive dress got stuck in the electronic door of the van while I was on the phone with JP. I totally forgot he was on the phone (& that kids were in the car) and let loose a grand array of explicatives. Can’t believe he kisses me with my potty mouth. 10.Wedding planning – you probably don’t need very many details here 11.Switzerland to Alsace – jps brother got married in Switzerland, the day after the reception, we were all to go to france for wine tasting. After printing the maps in swiss german for his sis in law to use on drive, she calls to say they won’t make it. So we have to travel from Switzerland to france in a car full of English speakers. We made it and the wine was great. We got a ticket for speeding. 12.Amsterdam – there are lots of bike riders in Amsterdam and if they want you to move out of the way, they ring a very polite sounding bell, if you don’t move, they start screaming at you in dutch, not a yell I care to hear again & they never slow down. It’s like a game of chicken who’ll move first. The bikers always win. 13.P90X – it’s an insane workout routine with pull-up bars attached to the doorway, push up bars, workout bands, the works, leaves us sore for weeks after just an hr of working out 14.Skiing/snowboarding at whistler – a friend of jps wanted to teach us how to snowboard so a bunch of us took a trip to whistler outside of Vancouver where she gave us a 10 min. lesson then snowboarded down the slope. A few others went behind her falling frequently, including JP. I practiced on a snowbluff. JP took some nice falls then disappeared, about an hour later, he came back with skis, apparently he’s a better skier than snowboarder, got tired of falling so, he took the tram down the mountain & swapped the board for the skiis. 15.Bees in Baltimore – we both steer clear of bugs whenever possible yet at this outdoor train station, we were being chased by bees no matter where we were or what we were doing. We wound up throwing away magazines (because of perfume ads), candy, cookies, & anything else that wasn’t an essential item. Eventually the late train finally came…that was the only way we got rid of the bees.
