Description: The stars are right!  
 Toward the end of the Civil War, as Union Gen. Sherman marches through the south burning everything in sight, the Confederates realize that the war is lost.  The commanding officer of Camp Sumter (a Confederate prison for Union soldiers) is approached in these dark times by his right hand man, an African hoodoo doctor, who promises to summon the might to win the war for the south.  The process of summoning only requires that all of the soldiers imprisoned at Camp Sumter be sacrificed to some dark and forgotten god.  The commanding officer decides to go through with it, and unknowingly unleashes the horror known as Shub Niggurath onto the world.  Madness and chaos ensue.  The mad followers amassed by Shub Niggurath spread the word of the Old Ones across the states.  The Old Ones rise from their slumber and once again walk the Earth.  The war is over, but so is everything else...
 In the aftermath of this, humanity struggles for survival:  tooth and nail and bullets vs. slime and tentacle and hopelessness.  
 The main characters (so far):
 1.)  Kikau, a half Native American, half white American who was raised Native, but lost his family tragically when young (13 years old) and was found and raised by an African hoodoo woman.  He is an expert tomahawk thrower, and is schooled in the hoodoo ways.
 2.)Cecil Crumbpot, a portly English occultist, black magician, alchemist, and astrologist. Cecil was in the San Fransisco when the big change happened. He believes he can reverse the effects that changed the world. He swears that he got this knowledge from a book called Unassprechlichen Kulten (Nameless Cults).
 3.)Shikarra Moushame, the beautiful daughter of the hoodoo woman that found and took care of Kikau after his parents were killed.  Shikara and Kikau are very close to each other, basically inseparable.  Shikara is a skilled hoodoo practitioner and healer.  

 Overall, we're going for a dark and serious tone, but with occasional humor and maybe even a bit of the ol' romance.
 Want to start with a full-length comic and see where it goes from there.  Love the styles of:  Frank Frazetta, Alex Ross, Matt Wagner, Frank Miller and Bernie Wrightson.
