Description: I've written a children's story about the Kentucky Derby. The story is about a young girl's impressions of the Derby from stories heard from her Nana. As she prepares to go to the Derby for the first time she tells her dog what she expects to see, etc. It's a humorous story which needs illustrations of her and her dog,  what she imagines the Derby is, and at the end of the story, I envision a mural/collage of sorts of the "real" Derby activities.

I'm not sure how many illustrations I will need. The word count is around 1600 words.

Description: I am seeking a children's book illustrator to continue illustrating children's storybooks which I author, the main characters for which have been illustrated.  I will provide copies of some images to illustrators who provide a portfolio and who appear to have a compatible style, which is fantasy/whimsical/magical.  

This is the first book in a new series which I have recently been approached to produce on a spec. basis.  The potential for sales is significant as this is an client with an international presence.  I am looking for an illustrator with whom I can establish a long-term working relationship.  This first book will have to be on a spec. basis, however we can negotiate a fee for the illustrations which will be paid back out of book sales as a first priority.

This is a great opportunity for a new illustrator to gain exposure and credibility.  There is a very tight deadline involved and I there require an artists who can dedicate the time to at least produce one full colour cover illustration and 6-12 thumbnail sketches by April 15th.

I am located in Victoria BC Canada.  Working via email is feasible.

Description: I have many projects lined up for my company, many of which are board games. My current project (a card and dice book) should be completed by the beginning of April, so I'm hoping to have a great start on releasing the next project which will be a board game.

My preference is to have this art done in Adobe Illustrator (or other vector output) so that I can resize and place the art as needed. I will be designing the board itself and layout out the art once it is delievered.
Much of the character art will be based on cartoon characters I've already had drawn for the book I mentioned, however there will be a need for new, unique art to be created. As long as the style I want is followed, I'm very open to your ideas.
Please note - these games are aimed at adults and are drinking games (although they all have alternative ways to play for points instead of drinks).

Description: We teach different languages to children. I am planning to create my own materials; posters, books, online activities, flashcards, etc. I want all my materials to have the same illustrations so it is easier for the students to study.  
I want to own these illustrations to avoid future legal problems. My illustrator will have to sign an agreement called "work for hire agreement" .
This is an ongoing project since we have to create the illustrations as I write the curriculum and books.  
Example: If we are teaching family -we may need about 10 to 15 illustrations - then we will use the same illustrations for everything (posters, flashcards,books etc) - we may have to edit the illustrations a little bit when putting them together in the book. So, they make sense in a story.  Then we will repeat the same process for other themes.  We have aprox 50 different themes
I am planning to finish the whole project in about 6 months.  Since this is a small and new business, I have a limited budget.  You can read about my programs at www.wlispeak.org
