Description: I'm an animator/modeler/illustrator with over 5 years of industry experience and would relish the opportunity of working on your project. Before this I worked as a Maya Layout Artist for Glasgow Animation on the major animated feature Sir Billi (starring Sean Connery).

I also worked as a Lead Animator/Art Director and Blender 3D Animator/Modeler for Apocalyptic Designs for which I am currently working on an upcoming undislosed PC and Wii title.

I also completed working on the lion and giraffe on Clear Crown Studio's WildLife! PC game.

About Gavin:

Gavin eats, sleeps and breathes Art.  He has always been very passionate and active in both Art and Design from a very early age.  He is a creative thinker and his talents and interests lie in a variety of different fields.  He can be labelled as an Illustrator, Artist, Graphic Designer and Architectural Designer.

After studying 'Art and Craft' and Graphic Design at 'A' Level, along with a variety of other subjects, he took his 'Art Foundation' at college.  Gavin then went on to study Architecture at The University of Brighton (England).  Here, he graduated with a 'Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree' (BA Hons) and his 'Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) - part one.

Architecture brought all of Gavin's talents together and helped fine tune his creative mind as an Artist and a Designer.  It taught him a completely new way to view the physical and cultural world around him.  It also helped expand his creative thinking in terms of understanding and designing spacial environments.  This brought a new dimension to his artwork and introduced him to new graphic and drawing techniques using both hand and computer.

Gavin has always worked as a freelance Graphic Designer and Commission Artist in his spare time and has aquired a mixed array of clientel.  He can work in a large variety of different media and likes to combine different techniques to achieve his desired goal.  As you will no doubt be able to see from Gavin's portfolio, he is very universal in his style and can adapt to suit any brief, in both Art and Graphic Design, innovatively to assure client satisfaction.

Searching for adventure and new experiences, Gavin loves to travel.  He has recently completed a one year journey circling the Globe with a 'round the world ticket'.  Here, he picked up inspiration from all the countries in which he worked and visited.  He hopes to portray this depth and rich texture in his work.

Gavin now lives happily in the United States with his beautiful wife Grae, his greatest inspiration.

I can also create illustrations for books and covers.  As a mother of three, I enjoy creating items to cherish always for my children, family and friends. AAS Advertising, Design & Production. I have been illustrating for 20+ plus years, mom says my entire life, having cleaned many of my "works" off the walls.  As an illustrator I believe in illustrating from the inside out. I pride myself in bringing life and inner spirit to all my pieces. All portraits are created from photos you provide to me.  I like to bring out the true inner spirit of your loved one so I'll be happy to assist you in choosing a candid photo reference that works best for what you have envisioned.

The illustrated portrait or book pages are created in charcoal, graphite, pencil and pastels. Inspired by photos of "yesteryear", they have undertones of black & white throughout with added hints of color. Illustrations are typically 11 x 14 to fit into a 16 x 20 or larger frame. Classic white mat is included however the frame is not.
