Traditional Art (Illustration / Painting)
Description:
I'm generally interested in most aspects of art and design, and I love to challenge myself by trying new things. My main interest is illustration. I have a BSA in Education and BA Fine Arts Degree. My other interests are advertising, sculpture, drawing, photography, poster, brochure, and business card design. I will do 3-5 sketches, if you like one or two of the five, then I will work on them up to a maximum of 10. If you like to make more than 10 changes, a charge of an additional $50 for another 5 to 10 variations. I’m very interested in getting into illustrating for children’s books and I give my all to everything I apply myself to. Although I prefer my bid amounts up front before work begins, one may op to pay 50% deposit, and balance upon completion. No work will begin without full or a deposit first. Feel free to ask any questions as I'd be most happy to answer them
My general fee is $200; this fee also depends on how many illustrations needed. The $200 is due up front. If at the end of it all you are not happy, a refund of $100 will be given. As for sending proofs or samples for approval, they will be sent as .gif file. Final project will be sent when balance is paid in full.
For all flat rate projects I require 50% up front to start the work &
the other 50% due upon delivery of the final project. I accept Paypal and I
Can take a personal check but I prefer Paypal / Money Order.
Feel Free to contact me about your project with as much info as you can give me
And I’ll give you a quote for the work to be done.
I might be interested in other types of proposals/work arrangements as well, so it
Doesn’t hurt to ask.
Example: illustration, drawings, paintings, sculpture, photography, graphics

Traditional Art (Illustration / Painting)
Description:
Since I was a kid I have always been making things. I derive a lot of satisfaction from thinking up some idea and constructing it. My earlier works were primarily carved from a variety of wood; more recent works have used cement, resin, aluminum, brass and marble. I will accept and pursue commissions in any mediums and of any size.
My most recent commission was a large cement piece for the courtyard of a private, international school in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I’ve been commissioned to make wooden swords out of purple heart and ebony. Commissioned to carve a sand-castable cows foot for a roll top bath tub. I’ve carved, out of African teak, a meter- high breaching salmon; a small bear of Honduran mahogany; a frog out of tangua nut to be worn in dreadlocked hair.
Sculpting and carving have been constant companions to me; they seem natural and cathartic.

Cyrano Debergerac
For a private collector of Opera Characters... a posable Cyrano figure. I made the head, hands, boots, hat, belt, sword ( aluminum ), and display base.
Skeleton mold
This is a silicon mold (Circle-K, GI1000) of a skeleton, with an ultracal-30 mother mold I was hired to make, and then poured multiple castings from using 2 part polyurethane flexible foam. Can be used with a variety of casting compounds.
Corny Corn the talking ear of corn puppet.
Corny Corn the talking ear of corn puppet. Built for an act I've been performing since October of 2000. I perform as PATCHES T. SCARECROW- a scarecrow "brought to life". Corny Corn is a rod puppet with moving mouth, and 2 gesturing husk leaves (can point, reach, hide, cover his mouth... he's awesome!), operated by nearly invisible monofilament. He dances, he sings! His kernals are wooden beads. Built in 2 days.
Klondike Ice Cream Bear Costume
For this project, I sculpted the head/skull plug to vac-u-form over, assembled the styrene skull, built all the mechanical head movements- controlled by cables and wooden controls (eyes look left-right, eyelids open-close, brow moves up-down, ears wiggle, mouth opens-closes by puppeteers hand). I also did a lot of the costume work, such as building the aluminum harness support for the puppeteer to wear, made the hoop wire rings, assisted with making the foam body, arms, paws, legs, feet.
SNUGGLES the BEAR - Snuggle Fabric Softener
For Snuggles, I made the wooden forms (plugs) for the head and body to vac-u-form over. I also did assembly of the styrene v-u-f pieces, and built the mechanics for several versions of his head: Marionette, bunraku style, hand/rod puppet, stunt puppet, poseable bear, as well as rod and cable hands and feet, and the wooden marionette control bars.
