Description: For more than thirty years I have been a professional entertainer: actor, voice-over performer, singer/songwriter, and stage performer. As such, it has been my job to develop, write, edit, proofread, and update my stage act. I have written press releases and news stories emphasizing and publicizing various aspects of the act. I have written and performed monologs, toasts, introductions and stories as well as numerous songs. This is on-going. In 2006, my patriotic song, "One Nation United", won the Directors' Award at the Nashville International Spring Song and Lyric Competition. The American Legion chose my song "The Flag of Our Fathers" to be the soundtrack of a recuiting film.

 My writing experience has not been limited to my performances alone. On the journalism front,  I wrote an entertainment column for "Nitelife Magazine" for a number of years in New England.

At this point in time, I am the principal essayist/writer for Apples of Gold (www.wedding-band-ring.com), a custom jewelry firm, I also write news releases for Events in the City and web content for Windowiser and CM Designs.

 History has always been one of my interests. I am the co-author of the noted regional history book, "The War Between the States in Wythe County, Virginia".  Commissioned by the town of Wytheville, I wrote, edited, and narrated the acclaimed audiotape, "An Historical Walking Tour of Wytheville, Virginia".

I am one of the authors of "Clean Cabbage in the Bucket and Other Tales from the Irish Music Trenches" - an anthology of non-fiction short stories about life on the Irish Folk Music Circuit over the past three decades.

I continue to study with American Writers & Artists, Inc. (AWAI) in their copywriting division.

 I have an AB in Social Relations with a minor in English. I am a former secondary school English teacher. I am a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.

 I believe that in every piece of writing, there should be a story told. In this, it is my intention to make everything I write as interesting as possible under the prevailing conditions and to  grab and hold the attention of the target audience. Everybody likes a good story. How you tell it is of the essence.

I wrote and recorded this song as a thank you to the men who fought on the allied side during World War II. Utilized in a film by the American Legion.

Description: It's said the proof is in the pudding - likewise, the writing itself tells the story. In the end, good writing is what you as a customer are paying for - words.
