Industrial Experience:

Over the past 23 years I have produced thousands of drawings and I have made most of the prototypes myself.  My career started in the U.S. Navy as a machinery repairman on board an aircraft carrier during Desert Shield.  After my service I worked as a model maker for 12 years building industrial scale models for trade shows such as Houston's Offshore Technology Convention (OTC), museums, inventors, and architects.  I've been working as a senior mechanical designer for fortune 500 corporations ever since.  I have also taught college classes as an adjunct and full time for 10 years.  Classes taught were board drafting, CAD, technical illustration, CAD/CAM, and CNC/manual machines.  

I have a CNC machine shop with the capabilities of machining just about everything from fine jewelry to large architectural features and signs.  I have a 4-axis MaxNCmill, 4-axis Syil America mill, manual lathe, ShopBot PRT, and other types of small equipment.  I am also well skilled at mold making, investment casting, wood pattern making, and wax machining for investment casting.

I have been doing freelance illustrations and machine work since the early 90's.  Some of my work has included manufacturing drawings, patent drawings, color plotting of illustrations, and courtroom animations.  I'm skilled at interpreting naval architecture, marine engineering, process pipe design, mechanical engineering, commercial/residential architecture, and airframe.  Please visit my portfolio to see samples of my work.

Description: I would like to share a little about our experience.  I have been working in the construction industry all of my life.  I was raised up in a glass business dealing with Commercial Aluminum Doors and Storefronts.  I went to college for 2 years for Business and Engineering.  I decided that Drafting & Design was the career choice for me and have been doing it ever since.  I started learning drafting in High School so; I have a total of 17 years of drafting experience.

My company is all about efficiency and accuracy.  In the past, I have developed work flows for companies and helped drafting departments increase their productivity.  We have resources for custom programming, database management, and much more.  We try our best to “Go Green” every chance we get by not using paper documents.  We use and prefer CAD, DWF, PDF, etc. by transferring them through an FTP Site and/or email.  Instead of shipping drawings to our location, have them scanned to a TIFF, PDF, or Color PDF if color mark-ups exist and we are on our way.  Also, this provides faster service by having the files uploaded to us typically the same day.

We provide a variety of services.  Our specialty is CAD Drafting & Design for the Commercial Exterior Cladding Industry with over 10 years in Aluminum Composite Material (such as Reynobond, Alucobond, etc.), all types of Ribbed Metal siding (such as Fabral, Centria, etc.) , and Phenolic Wall Panels (such as Trespa or equal).  We provide services through the entire project process from the Submittal Drawings to revisions to Fabrication Drawings to the final product.  We keep up with the software changes in the industry providing services in a wide variety of software.  We use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture, Inventor, and Rhino 3D.  We also provide a 3D software package that is specifically for the Curtainwall and Wall Cladding Systems Industry which integrates into AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture.  Other software is available upon request.  Working close with you to provide the services to your exact needs are what we are all about.

Portfolio:
Project included complete design and development of police vehicle interior system, including center console, one-piece rear seats and partition. The image show the initial models, with the final product below. As a side note, this design resulted in the first ever plastic molded console system in the industry. Why plastic? Well, up to then, all systems were aluminum or metal. This were not the safest when the officers were invovled in a crash.

New product design for a series of medical tools. This item shown, is a reamer designed to make a spherical cavity in the hip bone. Another tool broached a cavity in the femur bone. We also made a series of hip implants (stems and sockets) for this client.
DC motor and plate modeling for industrial application.
This project went from initial sketch to final pre-production model. All work was performed by us, including software/electrical, industrial design and all engineering drawings.
