Design

I've been creating retail, hospitality, and residential design concepts for more than twenty-five years, working across the spectrum of specialty stores, “big box” retailers, food stores, trade shows, to service retail such as banking, and automotive & boating dealerships. I've worked in Europe and Asia as well as the United States.

My greatest strengths lie in creating strong yet practical design solutions which have enabled me to build a track record of projects that contain unique ideas both impactful and implementable.

In the residential design field, I've brought my commercial design expertise and experience to bear in executing exterior and interior new-builds and remodels from concept to completion.

Architectural Illustration

After over twenty-five years of making many hundreds of drawings, I've refined a technique that's spatially accurate yet creates excitement and interest.

Beginning with information you supply, such as photographs, plans, or sketches, I create a rough black and white line drawing for your review of the viewpoint and content. Next, a final line drawing is prepared and submitted for your approval, after which color is applied to finish the drawing. The finished work can then be physically delivered or a digital image sent via e-mail or CD.

Over and over, my illustrations have been used by architects, designers, developers, and retail clients to sell concepts to investors, corporate boards, or design committees, and help visualize all kinds of spaces and products.

My skill level provides images amazingly similar to the finished project, whether it's a retail store design, architectural project, trade show design, interior design, or merchandise fixture.

Concept plan developed to showcase American Standard's plumbing products at their corporate HQ in Piscataway, New Jersey. Plan also included a lobby with reception, conference and office space, and hospitaity facility.
Concept design for Boston-based manufacturer of business forms to launch retail locations offering custom printing and graphic services using the company colors to create a three-dimensional brand experience for the small business market. Space planning, fixture design and graphics were kept simple with clean lines to communicate efficiency and to maximize small store footprints.
Interior color and graphics prototype for Lowe's "blitz" program executed and installed within 90 days from concept to completion.
