I require a Speech DLL for Text to Speech (TTS). It needs to be written in an unmanaged language such as C++. It would accept two parameters - the string to be passed to Windows Speech engine an a 12 digit random code that prevents others from using the DLL.

It does not need to be complicated and will simply use the default voice setting from Windows.

The DLL is to be called from a multimedia program called Opus (by Digital Workshop) and I can provide the code I have to use to call the DLL.

This is a very simple project but could lead to more. We need to have a very basic "off the shelf" USB video capture program modified slightly with defaults that match our hardware and an install program for the drivers and program. The goal for the end result is very bare bones for use by customers who have zero technical knowledge but would like to preview images from a camera on a PC. May need future custom models of the program for OEM customers.

Add... need Linux distro drivers for this USB video capture device. Understood that evaluation will be necessary for final proposal.

Custom Windows Credential Provider (C++) - Windows Programming Freelance Job

Description:

We need a Windows Credential Provider (Windows Vista\Windows 7) that can poll an SQL database with alphanumeric info supplied by the user in a single field.

The Provider would verify that the user entered value is valid by calling a stored procedure that will take the value, validate it and return true or false.

If valid the provider would write the user supplied info to a registry key (overwriting any previously stored value) and log the user in to windows with local stored credentials.

A test SQL Express DB will be provided for development testing, and will include applicatable tables and the stored procedure.

It is our understanding that Credential Providers can only be written in c++, but if a C# solution is possible then we will entertain that idea. We only require working (well documented) source code and will compile 32 and 64 bit versions in house. I have a good idea of how long this should take, but allowed 4 weeks to include time for testing and bug fixing revision. We have no developers on staff with C++ expertise but we do have a basic understanding of the language. We feel it will be more cost effective to outsource this project than to devote a developer to crash coursing C++ enough to be able to provide an unsure solution.

Budget will be determined by bids.

A successful project will likely lead to a need for a GINA component for XP to provide similar functionality.

need an application that after the first easy installation will be resident in the system tray bar, and periodically will check a specific rss feed and if something is new in the site will show a little windows in the system tray, with the description of the rss and the link to go at the news. the windows will disappear only when closed or visited the link.

SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE MUST HAVE FEATURES
- the xlm of the rss have to be already set or eventually more than one. and the user can not modify those rss
- the installation process have to be easy and quick. like double click , continue continue.. finish. then the software is installed, always on startup, and ready to check
- a start screen personalized first .- one time - will inform about the application
- no nag screen or warning if the internet connection is missing
- it alway starts at windows start

required software information

- working on windows xp - vista - seven -
- no matter the language - java, c++ , or visualbasic , is ok, if in the installation directory are presents library or other runtime application but the installation must be EASY no other libaries are to be dowloaded

USEFULL INFORMATION TO UNDERSTAND THE USE OF THIS APPLICATION
the application will be used by a club that have hundreds of member, 2 main websites and a news section on both, the application will be provided by download ( if size permits), and on gift cd's, or usb pen. the user ( not a specialist on pc's stuffs) will install the application and then every 2/3 our the application will check if the sites have published a news . if so, a little windows ( see the images) will show the news and it wont disappear till the user close or click on the link in the news.
important features are the easy install process the self-configuration of the xlm url. eventually the xlm will be provided before the realization of the compiling or installation tools.

features that are not in the lite version and in a features will be considering in the upgrade :
- uninstall function
- a txt file - or something else will permit to the admin to translate and add or remove some xlm feed before the distribution
- windows with shadows/ transparent effect
- sound on appearing
- fully customization of dimension, color, logo, etc.
- ability to set the check for news ime
- ability to add a group of xlms if necessary
- upgrading to a new version by internet
- check for new versions features

___ NOTE those lasts features - are well accepted but optional in this first lite version ___ if the goal are reach. in the future will be ask the upgrade.
