Description: DESCRIPTION:  
A series of original technical illustrations (b/w and/or full color) are needed as educational aides inside a detailed student handbook/textbook.  The nature of the handbook is characterized by on-rope activities, including but not limited to the use of fall-protection and rope-rescue techniques in an industrial setting (e.g. bridges, wind turbines, high-rise structures, etc.).  The assignments will generally include illustrating specific work procedures based on a text description, visually describing key steps using a progressive series of images, and translating existing photos or illustrations into original work that does not infringe on any copyrights.  To complete the initial assignment, there will be an estimated 30 - 60 illustrations needed.  Electronic delivery of the final images will be required in such a manner that they can be substantially enlarged, reduced, or otherwise manipulated without disrupting the quality of the image.  

SELECTION PROCESS:  
Attached to this posting are several images that provide example illustration assignments for this project.  Candidates selected by the client, based on a portfolio review or other customary selection steps, will be encouraged to render at least two (2) of these images in new and engaging ways that are appropriate to the subject matter and suitable for use within a training textbook.  The concept is to showcase the artist’s style, skill level, and overall approach.  The renderings must be done on a speculation basis (i.e. no pay for the final images unless accepted by the client).  Interested Illustrators may also choose to proactively complete the speculative illustrations as part of their initial submission of interest to the Art Director.  

NEXT STEPS:  
Please send a letter of interest by email (Attn: Art Director, address available after clicking the "Submit Bid" link above) that describes your firm, summarizes your experience with similar work, provides a link to a relevant portfolio, and supplies customer references.  It would also be helpful to understand your ability to accept a flat rate per illustration (some being much more complex than others), and any other terms and conditions that you traditionally require.  As mentioned previously, rendering at least two of the sample images on a speculation basis will strengthen the submission considerably.

Description: I need three simple illustrations that show one-point and two-point perspective. All pieces should be done in black line art. The first piece should show one-point perspective of two parallel lines meeting at at a vanishing point, labeled VP. The parallel lines can be train tracks or telephone poles. The two-point perspective line art should represent the corner of a building drawn at eye level and have labels VP at both ends. Details of the building can be included but the emphasis should be on identifying the vanishing points. The third piece should show an example of one-point perspective in a scene of a school hallway with one or two students; lines should be sketched in to show the vanishing points. Focus of scene can be on lockers or doorways.
All 3 illustrations will be in a textbook, and will be sized at about 2.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep.
