I have purchased some land on Kauai and I would like to place a house on it.

The land is somewhat challenging in that it has a 66% grade at the rear and I believe the soil is expansive (MH-O according to NRCS soil websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov).

I have quick questions I would like answered about what my options are as far as foundations and placement including:

- use of grade beam
- use of icf
- use of steel
- possible basement
