Introduction:
Ethnic minority businesses (EMBs) have been the subject of growing interest from a
variety of sources in recent years. This has generated considerable debate and
controversy concerning the scale, distinctiveness and policy needs of EMBs, although
their significance is in little doubt. Moreover, EMBs represent almost 7 per cent of
the total business stock in the UK, which is likely to increase over time since the
ethnic population is expected to double over the next 25 years. Precisely marginal businesses begun and run because of a lack of employment opportunities.
The major research surrounding the business impact and implications of ethnicity, focusing on small and medium sized businesses
The aim of the research  is especially to broaden the range of cultures and minority ethnic groups and will work on the ethnic code and enterprises.
The other important aspect of this research is to focus on venture capital that MEB will inject to the UK economy from international sources to establish a new business .In fact we all believe that how important is knowledge creation and  skills transfer
Tactical perceptions of knowledge and the enhancement of labour productivity in private and public service sectors and how effective would be the involvement of Ethnic Minority.
This research will also investigate the ways that UK economy can open to  international entrepreneurs who have the capacity and potentials of investment and looking to attract their venture capital.

Background:
Describe current state of the art. Why is this research needed? Outline previous work in this field (i.e. literature search). How would the results of the proposed research fill this need and be beneficial?
 The first systematic national study on Minority Ethnic Businesses (MEBs) in Scotland is done by Paisley Enterprise Research Center (1). The study used a combination of research methods including secondary data from the 2001 Census, data on self-employment rates, and quantitative analysis of the baseline dataset.
There is also some  research activities at the  Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship in relation with British Indian and British Chiness second generations(3).
The research will engage with intermediary networks that support new migrant communities in order to explore opportunities for collaborative working.
In the other hand  this research project will engage with new migrant business owners to promote awareness of business support, and develop detailed understanding of their particular needs

OBJECTIVE (s)
• To assess existing approaches towards supporting ethnic minority businesses
• To identify examples of ‘good practice’ policy initiatives
• To map out a research and policy agenda
Scope:  
Following tasks will be undertaken as a part of the proposed research-

METHODOLOGY AND APPROACH
This research will lead to over55 in-depth qualitative interviews and a more than 30 case studies with key informants. There is also a need to develop links with community leaders or with organizations that represent Minority Ethnic Businesses (MEB)-owners. Overall as summery the project will  work on the fallowing methods :
• A review of studies of EMBs and International entrepreneurs from academic sources and grey literature
• Interviews with 55 separate Business Links ,global enterprises to examine the scope and
dimensions of policies towards international traders and EMBs.
• Where examples of ‘good practice’ policies were identified in these initial
Interviews, a second interview was conducted with the individual best positioned
to describe the initiative. It will produce cases are presented in the report.

Task 1
The first step would be to study the elements that are effective to develop EMB to establish or improve the enterprises and providing the business opportunities for capable and interested international traders. In reality in this part of the research we will also study in which areas venture capital can be invested for entrepreneurs.

Task 2
It is really important to gain a better understanding of systematic or sometimes collaborative strategies to achieve the best result. The researcher will gather information about actions and interactions in relation with Ethnic Minority Enterprises (EME) and will review theoretical traditions. From a policy perspective, developing a strategy for addressing the support needs of EMBs can be justified both for economic development and social equity reasons.
