Description: Superb opportunity for talented writers to gain national exposure and promotion on major mass market children's books that will be adapted into animated specials with international toy merchandising.  The series are part of a high profile commercial children's platform of projects slated for release in 2010 by a new production company founded by A-List film, television, publishing, and music talent in New York, Aspen, and Los Angeles.  

There are three full series of books in development; all require writers of unique intelligence and creativity.  While the series are targeted at the 4-8 year old age range, they are not simplistic - and need writers who can follow creative direction yet execute superbly with their own imaginative talents.  
This is an excellent first step in establishing a relationship to become a part of the team, and gain the kind of top level national exposure that is extremely difficult for 'unknown' writers to access in the extant traditional agent/publisher paradigm.  One of the core values the company is founded on is in sourcing, enabling and empowering emerging writing talent.  We are evaluating potential recruits based on submissions of sample work to be written at our direction.  Please email for details on sample submission process and details, and include examples of current written work for our prompt evaluation.

Description: I am looking for someone to ghost-write a children's book involving a boy who flies, and a girl he meets on an adventure. Thus it would be sort of a "romantic adventure." I plan for it to be a "picture book", but someone else would do the illustrations. I expect the word count to be in the 1500-3000 range. It would be aimed at young readers approximately 5-7 years of age.
