Description: I am looking for a professional writer who is experienced in childrens writing. I have a series of ideas for books that are roughly based on life stories that  I have experienced and have been handed down from previous generations that relay a lesson. These stories are based on two recurring characters, and will be considered a series of fables. My children loved these stories growing up  and thought I should put them in book form. They are funny, exciting and educational. I will hire a seperate illustrator who will use sketches designd by my daughter based on her vision of the stated characters.

I am not a writer and have no experience writing. I am looking for someone who I can communicate easily with to put these fables on paper in an eloquent yet elementary manner.

These fables will target a 3 to 8 year old market.

There is the potential for up to 20 plus books. I would like to do one or two and see how it goes.

I have no great illusions of making money, I would just like to put them in book form for posterity.

Description: We are looking for a writer who has a genuine love for kids and would like to write a short (and very compelling) article/story to lead kids between 6-12 years old to reflect on the importance of having a good and solid character/moral courage vs the choices they are now facing as they grow up.  Trax4Life is a series of educational audio montage/adventures published by Trax4life Media.  We are producing longer audio stories (family/public school oriented). Each one will tackles character building/life situation from a different perspective. We  need an article written for publication on web page and inclusion in worksheets/children magazines and other publication. We are revamping our business/web presence right now so be patient, the article will eventually be published!

GENERAL IDEA/PRODUCT

The main idea is to have a story that would fit in a children’s magazine.  We want you to address the children as if you were talking one on one. Your name will appear as the author of the story . The article should be of up to 800 (600  minimum) words, needs to fit on 2 magazine pages with graphic (don’t worry about the graphic-that’s not part of this bid!).  Article most be unique and authentic.  Plagiarism checking will take place.  Writer will allow up to two modifications after review. The article is for kids of primary grades 6 to 12 yrs old.

***Please understand that this is not an article to please search engines. Pour your heart out!***

By accepting this offer you are given Trax4Life Media Full Rights on the article. You will not resell, use the content again. You also give Trax4Life Media the right to  use the article any manner we want, however  want to re-assure you that since your name appears as the author  of the story, we have no intention of changing the content, but for legal reasons must ask that you give up any rights to it.

More information can be provided if requested.  The method of payment will be discussed once the candidate has been chosen. We have provided enough information for the writer(s) to make an adequate and informative proposal. Samplers are welcome. We want to thank all of the writers in advance for their time and efforts.

P.S. I have purposely not given you any specific direction about the article.  I want your idea, not mine.  Let your creative juice flow…

Please feel free to discuss...

Project

Subcategory: Children's Writing/Editing
Description: I would like a ghost writer for children's story book on values & Morals.
Target readers/listeners: 4 to 8

The first book/s will be on Honesty.
The book will show the reader/listener how to:
- recognise the feelings of guilt as it relates to their emotional guidance system
- discover how to listen & use to their emotional guideance system when they want to stop lying
- understand the natural consequence of lying to their own spirit & then their relationship
- learn practical life skills of what to say instead of lying

Story issues to cover most comment dishonest scenarios:
1. lying to avoid blame & fear of punishment eg did you wash your hands? eg did you do your homework?
2. lied to look good amost other as fixing up poor self image eg my dad drives a porche
3. lied to get what I want ie manipulate situation eg get lollies from grandma
4. lie to avoid hurting others feelings eg outfit, does my butt look big in this?
5. lie to protect a friend from getting into trouble eg to avoid getting sent to principal
6. lieing because it is easy & doesn't matter if I don't get caught.. eg lieng habit forms a web of lies
7. how to approach someone else (eg parents/adults) in love when you notice them lieing

To be awarded this job, you will need to believe in Source/God/Creator and have read books such as:
- The Vortex by Abraham-Hicks
- Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh Book 1 & 2
- The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
Please consider this carefully before you consider bidding. My desire is to connect with another who has the same spiritual connection to this project and a hearts desire to give our kids spiritual awarenes and practical life strategies.

This will not be a religious book, however, the theme will unashamedly be to empower the child to recognise and listen to their own emotional guidance system which is the indicator of how well they are allowing God/Source/Creator to flow through them & be who they really are as a good person on the inside spirit. (Rather than obeying man-made rules which incidentally seem to be constantly changing in western society when we get to little 'white' lies.)

In addition, I would like to have jingles (aka: nursery rhymes) that remind them of their strategy to overcome lieing. You can suggest lyrics/rhymes here & I can source a musician elsewhere.

The first format will be audio book, then personalised printed story book perhaps with a choose your own ending.

This project is because I despise the fact that the best nursery rhymes we teach our kids are Ring a Rosy - which is about dropping dead from a plague.
Or, better still the Boy who Cried Wolf lied because he was bored and while it shows the end results of trust abused, not too many kids these days herd sheep.
There is enough Disney & Harry Potter for kids to understand the spiritual rehlm.

I look forward to hearing your creative ideas on how the same spiritual emphasis can be interwoven to exciting adventures with clear examples of choosing Honesty.

You will need to demonstrate experience with writing children's stories.
The only exception to this (direct childrens experience) if somehow you can explain and/or evidence your writing passion for similar topics ie spiritual values and how you have already been inspired to translate this into child-like concepts.

How long will the stories be?
I am trying to do is develop a package of audio (initially) short stories that can help children aged 4 to 8.

So, there are 7 scenarios for lying/honesty that I have mentioned. I think one or two of them could be blended.
So say there are five short stories.

Having done some quick google  they say English is spoken at about 160 words per minute.
1. The first one for a 4 year old - so short and not too complex a plot (5 mins @ 160 words/minute = 800 words)
2. The second for 5 year old (8 mins @ 160 words/minute = 1,280 words)
3. The third for a 6 year old  (16 mins@ 160 words/minute = 2,560 words)
4. The fourth for a 7 year old  (35 mins@ 160 words/minute = 5,600 word)
5. The fifth for an 8 year old  full themes and detailed story line.  (45 mins @ 160 words/minute = $7,200 words)

For note:
- Each book will be converted to a personalised, hard copy option
- More pictorial content in the shorter ones for younger kids
- The last one I would like a choose your own ending format
- I don’t necessarily feel the stories need be in the same scenarios/settings or linked

I am flexible to have different people write different ones to get a variety of styles:
eg the young one could be more in the Dr Suess style
eg the last one that is longer to be adventure choose your own ending

For those with experience in a particular style, you might get inspiration and have ideas from your experience with children.
I am open to input.
