Pricing Model Assignment Using Microsoft Excel

Objective:
The objective is to  generate a pricing model pertaining to common scenarios pertaining to consulting services.

Assignment:

1. Calculate a total sell price including travel expenses for consulting services based upon the parameters listed below.  The sell price should be calculated using a “cost plus” model (i.e., cost plus the desired margin equals sell price).  Assume 30% margin for labor and 10% margin for travel. [Hint: Sell Price = Cost/(1-GP%)]
2. Calculate the blended margin of the total sell price.  [Hint: GP% = (Price – Cost)/Price]
3. Extra credit: Build the model in such a way that the reviewer can modify the GP% for labor and/or travel to a different value in order to generate different scenarios.  For example, the manager may want to see how reducing the margin to 0% on travel affects the overall blended margin of the deal.  By generating the model in this way the manager can easily type different margin values in the reference cells to quickly similar different scenarios.

Parameters:
The following parameters outline the situation for an opportunity to provide consulting services:

• Project Duration = two weeks
• Sr. Consultant on site for one week
• Consultant on site for two weeks (either calculate travel expenses

• Use the following travel expense assumptions:

Hotel $150.00 per night
Rental car $55.00 per day (don’t worry about mileage or gas)
Per diem $40.00 per day
Air fare $300.00 round trip

Description: I am lookng for a way create a resume much like the coversheet a recruiter composes.  

I have tried functional and believe it appears confusing and disjunct.

I have been stay at home for the past 8 years, with a little consulting, but for the most part out of my field.  

Rather than have a recruiter complete this task, I prefer to present the document to them.

And, after two resume writing services I am hoping to find someone who can take a CFO view, as that is my target audiance. Est budget depends on extent of services.
