Description: We are a freelance publishing outfit offering servides to Publishers of materials for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language. Extensive EFL/ELT experience is necessary to work on our projects.

We are currently developing a new Greek Junior course. We have already developed the first Pupil's Book, so we now need to get samples from proposing authors of the Teacher's Book. The TB is envisaged as a very straightforward creature, mainly with explicit instructions for inexperienced teachers on how to run the lessons.

Actual samples of what is required, detailed briefs and plans, and thorough fedback will be given by our team to any author commissioned.

On confirmation of author commission, we would need complete draft by early Sept 08, with complete final ms by early Oct 08. We will be happy to correct any small matters editorially without asking the authors for corrections and will only be returning any parts that need large scale rewriting.

Such projects are almost always available at Process ELT and any knowledgeable and experienced ELT authors are invited to contact us at any time.

Description: Historical Fiction Novel

Time Frame; Late 2nd to early 1st Century B.C. (Approx. 115 BC to 65 BC)

Tag-Line:  A little known prince from a small vassal kingdom grows to become a great king of his age, defying the two largest ruling empires of the time, the Parthians, heirs of the Old Persian Empire, and the Romans, on the eve of their expansion into world domination, to create an empire of his own that challenges both rival empires at the same time.

Overall Summery: A young Prince of a small vassal kingdom overcomes hardships big and small, both personal and political, learning from kings and friends, as well as from enemies and circumstance, as he tries to find his place in life.  He will use his education and experience to keep his head above water, but what he learns will also help him gain a new respect for his own people and raise his national pride, and will one day help him rule his kingdom and create his own empire.

Target Audience: Ancient historical fiction fans, action and adventure enthusiasts, age range 25-40 yrs; Ancient Rome and ancient Persia and Parthia enthusiasts, as well as history of the ancient Armenian kingdom

Areas encompassed in Story; Asia Minor, Mesopotamia (modern day Turkey, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Syria)

I have a full outline for the entire novel, as well as detailed chapter and scene outlines.  I have worked on the research and planing for this novel part-time for almost ten years now.  I have gathered numerous links and pages of historical data.  The only thing that I do not seem to have is the talent to actually bring this story to life. I have numerous attempts at writing parts of the story myself, but this has come out painfully and too slowly, and I never seem to be satisfied with what I've written.

I am looking for an experienced writer who has at least some ancient historical knowledge and/or fiction writing experience of this type. (I understand that the writer may not necessarily know about the particular history in question.)  Any samples of your writing will help greatly in finding out of this project is for 'us'.

I'll be happy to provide everything I've put together towards the project and I will always be available to respond to any questions that may arise during the writing process, I can to any further needed research myself and should be able to provide a responce within 24 hours.  In other words, I am willing to work with you as much as it is needed. I do not have any specific deadline for the work's completion.

I am looking for a finished novel of about 60,000 words.  I am hoping that because I have a detailed outline of the whole story, and will be available for any more information needed, as well as not having a deadline may help in keeping the overall cost down.

I am looking to retain sole copyright of the finished project after final agreed upon payment to the writer is made.  However, if you would be interested in a 50/50 status of co-writers of this book, then just let me know!
