8-10 stanza poetic children's book requiring illustrations. 2 pages per stanza required, as well as cover art (16-20 illustrations + cover). Personal work. Undecided as to whether I will be pitching for publication.

Thematically fantastical - entitled "If I lived in a world made of...", each stanza proceeds to describe a child's imaginitive visions of a world made of: lollipops, trampolines, rocket ships, cookies, etc...

In my own mind I have envisioned everything from simple pencil sketches to bright bold full colour interpretations. I am very open at this point & will know what I love when I see it!

Skilled illustrator needed for a 32-page Vacation Bible School book to be used in the Telugu speaking region of India. This is one of many projects currently in the works. We are also adding to our database of illustrators and designers.

We generally negotiate a per illustration fee with each artist, which includes a certain number of revisions.

Telugu India VBS Year 1 Student Book is a special edition book, designed for children ages 5 to 13. We will supply the artist with a complete copy of the text of the book, along with notes and guidelines for each illustration.

The Book of Hope is the harmonized Gospel (utilizing the Contemporary English Version) and translated into more than 70 languages. It is distributed in more than 125 countries and we just recently reached the 600 millionth child with the story of Jesus. Our books are generally created for either Elementary School Aged Children (ages 5 to 9), Middle School Aged Children (ages 10 to 13), or High School Aged Children (ages 14 to 19).

School Cat and Other Mostly True Cat Tales - Book Illustration Freelance Job

I am working on a collection of prose and poetry pieces that will go into a book to be published by Xlibris Publishing. I plan to submit the materials for publishing around February. There will be 8 or 9 pieces in all. Some of the illustrations will be photographs that I have taken, some will be paintings done by an artist friend of mine. Some pieces have a somber tone such as the poem "Cat Alone" which I dedicated to the memory of my lost cat. Some are mixed such as "School Cat" which is about our gray cat who came to the door of the school where I teach last fall and was desperate to get inside. My daughter and I adopted him. Another day, I wrote about how he jumped up on the couch and landed with all four feet in my pepperoni pizza. I'm still working out which scenes I would like to illustrate and what they might look like. I would also be open to clay (sculpey) illustrations for one piece. I think I would like to work with a few different illustrators, but need to stay within my budget. Since Xlibris is a self-publishing company and the retail cost will be high, I do not expect to sell a lot of copies, but you never know. I also plan to (if I show a profit on the book after the cost to illustrate and publish) then I will donate half of the profits to a charity called Alley Cat Allies.
